Meet Jennifer Jensen

I am a white, cisgender, divorced woman, and mother of two amazing girls.  My empathy for my clients is informed by my own mental health journey. I like to bring humor and fun into the room, but I also am not hesitant to challenge you.

I received my Master of Social Work from Michigan State University with a Evidence-Based Trauma Treatment Certification. I have 14 years of clinical experience providing evidence-based treatment to individuals in a variety of settings including residential facilities, schools, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. The past 7 years I've embraced the world of private practice, providing tailored treatment and fostering strong therapeutic alliances with preteens/teens, adults, and couples.

Treatment approaches include: Therapeutic approaches I commonly utilize are Strengths-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Somatic Attachment Therapy.

Kink, Queer, and ENM friendly

I provide a space for self-discovery and relational growth through non-judgmental, affirming guidance

My Approach to Therapy

Healing is a deeply personal journey, and my role is to create a soft place for you to land.  I respect the unique challenges you face and the courage it takes to seek support.

You deserve to receive compassionate, understanding, inclusive, and authentic support—no matter who you are or how you got here.

“How do I know you’re the therapist for me?” It can feel intimidating and strange opening up to a therapist you don’t know anything about. I have found that it can help to know who you are working with.

Trauma-Informed

I aim to cultivate a stable, protected space for healing through a trauma-informed lens
